Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient way to quickly clean up mess. The best robot vacuums and mops I tested had excellent mapping and navigation. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as tangled wires.
You can also schedule cleaning chores using an app and track their progress.
- Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and vacuum combination. It has the latest features. This high-end model is incredibly fast and nimble, picking up debris like pet hair and human hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also comes with a stylish app interface with a miniature map of your home and some on-screen buttons to allow manual control.
Another standout feature of the S8 is its ability to adjust its cleaning mode according to the amount of dirt it encounters thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will stop and wash its mopping pad more frequently when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
It has a variety of other smart features too, including an alternative dock that connects to your home plumbing to wash and clean the mop roller, without having you to refill it manually. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8 you can make use of voice commands to set rooms cleaning options and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those who want a hands free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's one of the combination robot vacuums that have mops that are also priced lower than competitors.
Like many robovacs Yeedi Cube requires a little amount of work to get started, including setting up an account on the official app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've completed that, the robot will begin to vacuum and mop with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process can take some time and may take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate view of your space. In addition, object detection can be difficult to determine It was able to get around furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to flip its back to release itself. These aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need a cleaning companion that does everything.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an alternating motion that's similar to hand scrubbing. This results in floors being cleaned and not just swept. The detachable stick vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to reach spots even robotic vacuums aren't able to reach.
This model is essentially identical to the well-known X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction capacity of 8,700Pa and additional features that are smart. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's layout better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. The smart app lets you adjust the settings of your choice such as scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging base at the end of each task to clean their pads and empty the dust bins and place the debris into the self-sealing bag. This helps to keep the system clean and prevents allergens from recirculating. Its battery lifespan is long enough to handle large spaces without needing a recharge mid-clean.
- Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a premium robot vacuum and mop model that comes with impressive features at affordable prices. It has a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle-avoiding. It also has an innovative mopping technique that utilizes a roller continuously sprayed with water to collect dirt, and then dump it in the water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without crashing. It had trouble with fine debris and didn't always clear the thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also relatively high, so it may be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.
Like many robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that can refill its clean water as well as empty its dustbin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easier and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with the regular schedule. You can manage all of its functions through the Eufy app. It provides an overview of the system and plenty of options for configuration.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuums/mowers available, and it offers an impressive mix of mopping and vacuuming performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision. The app lets users fine-tune coverage of the map, define no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which is a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that rotate at 180 RPM and apply upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, which lifts these pads upwards when they're close to soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating them with.
The docking station is a hands-free maintenance centre that is able to wash and dry the mops, robotvacuummops.uk and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also has integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of uninterrupted operation, unlike conventional robot vacuums which empty their bins of dust every time they have to be empty.
- S10
This robot is a few hundred dollars less than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my office tidy. It is also able to reach the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses a laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D model of your home so that it can know what to stay clear of. It has an object/obstacle detector that can block things like dog bowls and toys (but not the poop) unlike other vacuums.
It has other great notable features, like a self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable for water temperature, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can get to areas other mops miss. You can also alter the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
Similar to the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping that can distinguish between carpets, laminate and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. If you're looking to save time, it can even skip mopping in rooms that aren't filthy. It's an excellent option when you have a mix of flooring in your home and aren't looking to spend the extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
- Q5 Pro
This robot is a great option when you're seeking a flexible robot that can perform regular maintenance as well as touch-ups to messy water stains. It offers a broad range of features, including self-emptying dustbins as well as an additional water refill dock, and adjustable settings within the app. It is surprisingly quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. It can't pick tangled rug tassels up and its battery drains more quickly than other models we've tried.
With a price tag of less than $250 and less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly machine that packs a lot of suction and a handy automation into a slick design. It didn't perform as well in our mopping and mopping tests like the pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, but it still did very well overall. It has a range of cleaning modes, ranging from the low power 'Quiet mode' for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo mode' for carpeted areas. It also has the capability to automatically remove and replace mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot vacuum and mop that can be used even in small spaces. It's quiet and quick and does a great job of navigating tight spots. It is also very good at removing pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than most of its rivals, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has good suction power and can be configured to take pictures of each object it picks (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys) and mark them in the app as "not located', so that they are not removed in future cleanings. The photos are secure and not linked to your account.
It is great at vacuuming, but it's not so good at mopping. It uses disposable wipes that are clipped to the bottom of the bot and drags them across the floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
